A SIMPLE LIFE

After working for close to a month, I understand the value of little things, like your boyfriend watering the weed daily, or your roommate unloading the dishwasher. It's so easy to make life crazy busy and chaotic, but it's not so easy slowing down.

Something not so simple? Pie.

Lots and lots of options and choices. Savory, like chicken pot pie, or sweet, like pumpkin pie. Crusts made of pastry, or of cookie crumbs, or of graham crackers.

So to my delight, sometime a month ago (yes, I've thrown myself into work recently... but I am loving it) E and I made the trek to the other Third Street, and got ourselves some pie.

I don't even remember what I actually got - but it clearly wasn't pie, and when you go to simplethings, come on! It's a (sandwich and) pie shop. Obvs, what sticks out in my memory is the perfectly portioned and savory chicken pot pie that E had, the display of delectable beautiful pies in every size, and obvs the amazingly chocolate-y, rich, sensational pies that E and I shared.

In short: Don't sell yourself short and get the cutie pie. Cute as it is, you deserve at least the simple pie. It's delicious.

(Or if you do get the cutie pie, get tons and tons of cutie pies. Try all the flavors!)

  2. Pie is delicious...and if you're going to get one of each flavor, then I think the decision is simple again!
