SWEET OR SAVORY?

And as I look at this image, I see a big fat spelling mistake. *sigh* That's what you get when you're totally running around crazy, in a rush. I'm packing my bags for a quickie weekend trip to the Bay Area (which should be fantastic). Ah, so much to do and so little time.

But I just wanted to remember this stop in D.C.

D.C. was being rather gloomy the day that we visited. We needed a quick bite to eat, as we were just wrapping up our window shopping around Georgetown, and this place popped out with its bright yellow sunshine-y decorations.

The menu boasted a number of eats - both sweet and savory. But my stomach was missing lunch, so I ended up with the savory Da Vinci crepe: a crepe filled with shredded chicken, pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.

Next time, I'll probably get a sweet crepe - because honestly? This was a little bland and heavy. The crepe itself was neither crispy around the edges, light nor airy. It was fairly heavy, and tasted like a sandwich that I could have thrown together in my apartment. There was nothing super special, almost like they had filled it with store-bought (defrosted) chicken and pesto.

Lighter items might have been better with this crepe, which is why I suggest going sweet rather than savory.

Paris Crepe House, a little ways down the article. Worth a shot.

  2. I have heard of this place.. we are planning a trip to DC later in the year and I heard about this place. Unfortunately M is not a big fan of crepes and I was thinking of pushing him to try it out.. but I guess not..
